10 Metro Lines of HZ Approved
Ten lines of the 3rd phase of Hangzhou Metro were approved, with a total length of 196.1 km, a total investment of 145 billion yuan, and the construction period from 2017 to 2022.
Ten Metro lines of Hangzhou with a total length of 196.1 kilometers have obtained approval by the National Development and Reform Commission.
In the coming 6 years, Hangzhou will be connected by subways from the east to the west, from the north to the south. A subway card will be valid across the city. The MTR shortens the distance. Before the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, Hangzhou will build 10 subway lines and 2 suburban light railways. The total length will be 445 km or more, forming a more complete rail transit network, building a multi-level urban transport structure. This will bring convenience to the residents and will provide strong traffic support for the Asian Games.
Metro Line 1’s third phase will connect Xiashajiangbin Station with Xiaoshan International Airport and it is expected to operate by 2020.
Metro Line 2’s third phase will connect Xinliang Road Station with Liangzhu Station.
Metro Line 3’s first phase will link Xingqiao Road Station in Yuhang District with West Wenyi Road Station on its major line and connect Xiaoheshan Station and Baijiayuan Road Station on its branch line.
Metro Line 4’s second phase will go between Pengbu Station and Zijingang Road Station.
Metro Line 5’s second phase will stretch from Central Park Station and Luting Road Station.
Metro Line 6’s second phase will lie between Fengbei Road Station and Dongning Road Station.
Metro Line 7 will link Wushan Square Station and Jiangdong No.2 Road Station.
Metro Line 8’s first phase will connect South Wenhai Road Station and Jiangdong Station.
Metro Line 9’s first phase will connect Linping and Changda Road Station.
Metro Line 10’s first phase will link Zhejiang University and Xinxing Road Station.
